SUMMARY:The American Legion Legacy Run
DESCRIPTION:                                                                                                                                                              Photo by Hilary Ott /The American Legion \n\n2026 American Legion Legacy Run\n\n\n\nJoin us August 23-27\, 2026! \n\n\n20th Anniversary – The American Legion Legacy Run 2026\nLincoln\, Nebraska to Louisville\, Kentucky | Approximately 1\,000 miles\n\n\n\n\n\nSince its inception in 2006\, our annual event has raised $16 million for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund. \nToday\, The Legacy Run is focused on fundraising for the Veterans & Children Foundation\, which funds American Legion service officer training and provides grants for at-risk minor children of Legionnaires and active-duty military. \nTo register for the 2026 Legacy Run and get additional information about this year’s ride\, including a new structured peer-to-peer fundraising platform\, click below. \nRegistration is now live for the 2025 American Legion Legacy Run\, which again will raise funds for The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation (VCF). Register here.\nThank you – and welcome to online registration for 2026 The American Legion Legacy Run. 2026 is a historic year – we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Legacy Run and America’s 250th birthday. Together\, we ride to honor our nation’s legacy and strengthen hope for veterans\, service members\, and their families through The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation (VCF). \nThis ride is more than miles. It’s a mission. \nWhy This Ride Matters \nThe Legacy Run supports The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation (VCF) – a foundation of hope that steps in when a veteran\, service member\, or military family is on the edge. Your registration and fundraising help sustain support programs for veterans and children across the nation. When you register\, commit to fundraising – and bring the mission with you. \nFundraising Challenge \nSet a goal and start now. Even small actions add up when we do this together: \n\nChoose a target: $250\, $500\, or $1\,000 (or set your own).\nAsk 10 friends to give $25.\nShare your “why” on social media and post updates along the route.\nInvite your Post\, Chapter\, District\, or Department to sponsor a day of your ride.\nAsk local business partners to match donations or sponsor your day.\nCan’t make the national ride? Host an in-state Legacy Run or local fundraiser ride for VCF – then have your Post\, Chapter\, or Department present that donation on the national stage at National Convention.\n\nFundraising is how we win on the national stage – and how we honor the purpose behind the patch. Whether you raise $50 or $5\,000\, you are helping carry the mission forward. \nHow to Register \nAfter reading this message fully\, click the registration link provided on the registration page. You will: \n\nEnter your information.\nSelect the days you are riding (if applicable).\nPay your registration online.\n\nOnce complete\, you will receive a confirmation email and a copy of the liability agreement you agreed to during registration. If you do not see your confirmation email\, please check your spam or junk folder. \nIf you register and are later unable to participate in this year’s Legacy Run\, a refund request must be submitted no later than August 10\, 2026. Due to event planning and operational requirements\, any refund request received after August 1\, 2026\, will not be processed until after the National Convention.
