The American Legion Riders, Department of Alaska Annual Convention is hereby called for April 22, 2026 at 6 p.m. at Susitna Valley Post 35 in Wasilla, Alaska, immediately following the ALRA DEC meeting at 5:30pm.

DEC Meeting to be followed by Annual Meeting:
ALRA State Director Larry Block is calling for the ALRA Executive Committee to meet April 22, 20206 prior to the annual meeting at 5:30 pm at Post 35.
American Legion Riders of Alaska’s Convention General Membership meeting is called for April 22, 2026 at Wasilla Post 35 at 6pm.
ELECTIONS:
Pursuant to Article III, Section A, The election of Association Officers will be held annually prior to the convening of The American Legion, Department of Alaska, convention. This will be conducted during the Convention business sessions.
Section D. Each chapter shall designate up to one (1) active ALR chapter member to be assigned as a delegate for every ten (10) active members to include inactive life members of their chapter. Delegates will vote during the convention meeting of the American Legion Riders Alaska held annually prior to or during The American Legion, Department of Alaska Convention. Designated voting members will be eligible to vote for officers and on any proposal brought forth at the convention meeting.
A reminder that if members NOT currently paid up on their dues in their respective entities (Legion, SAL, Auxiliary) their vote will not count. Nominations for all office positions will be open.
American Legion Riders Alaska Installation of Officers will be Saturday evening, April 25, 2026 at Susitna Valley Post 35.
All new Chapter Data Forms need to be turned in to our Secretary ASAP. The due date is April 15, 2026.
All Chapters need to review their member rosters and verify every member is paid and current within their entities and Chapters for voting purposes. And chapters who have not paid 2025-2026 chapter contributions ($25 plus $2.00 each ALR member) need to do so before convention in order to have a vote. This determines the number of delegates allowed to vote.
All members who are interested in running for Department positions must bring a copy of their endorsement to the meeting.
